Republic of Fritz Hansen, Serie 7, Frontpolster Leder, Stuhl Die von Arne Jacobsen entworfene Serie 7™ ist mit Abstand der größte Verkaufserfolg eines Stuhls in der Geschichte Fritz Hansens und vielleicht sogar in der gesamten Möbelgeschichte. Der formgepresste Furnierstuhl ist eine Weiterentwicklung der klassischen Ameise™, die Arne Jacobsen 1952 für die Kantine von Novo Nordisk, einem international agierenden dänischen Pharmaunternehmen entwarf. Wie so viele seiner Entwürfe wurde auch die Stuhlkollektion Serie 7 vom ebenfalls dänischem Designermöbel Unternehmen Fritz Hansen neu aufgelegt und erfreut sich wieder großer Beliebtheit. Ob als Stuhl im provaten Gebrauch z.B. als Esstisch- oder Küchenstuhl oder im Objektgeschäft als Restaurant, Kaffee oder Kantinenstuhl, die Serie 7 von Fritz Hansen ist definitiv ein Statement, wenn es um die Wohneinrichtung mit Designermöbel geht. Diese Version des Serie 7 Stuhls ist auf der Sitz- und Rückenfläche mit feinem Leder bezugen. Die Rückseite ist schwarz gefärbte Esche. Basic Leder: Europäisches Rohleder. Chromgegerbt. Anilinfarbstoffe auf Wasserbasis. Weich, wischfest, wasserabweisend, schmutzabweisend, fleckenbeständig, langlebig, pflegeleicht. Eine gleichmäßige Oberflächenstruktur mit einem zeitlosen Reiz. Dicke: 1,0 – 1,2 mm. Die Oberfläche ist weich, glatt und geschmeidig mit einer gleichmäßigen, feinen Körnung. Eleganz Leder: Feinstes europäisches Rohleder. Chromgegerbt und anschließend für eine erhöhte Festigkeit pflanzengegerbt. Anilinfarbstoffe auf Wasserbasis. Das Nonplusultra in klassischer Eleganz. Strahlt mit natürlicher Patina, die sich je nach Licht, Gegebenheiten und Verwendung mit der Zeit bildet. Dicke: 1,2 – 1,4 mm. Oberfläche natürlich mit dezenter Zeichnung.

Description: The Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair was the culminations of a new technique that Jacobsen pioneered with the Egg. Like a sculptor, Jacobsen first sculpted the Egg out of clay in his garage so he could perfect the shape. He then molded the Egg Chair out of a strong foam inner shell under the upholstery. The result is a wholly unique shape, meaning the Jacobsen Egg Chair affords privacy in otherwise public spaces. The Jacobsen Egg first appeared in the reception areas of the Royal Hotel, in Copenhagen. The commission to design every element of the hotel building as well as the furniture was Jacobsen’s grand opportunity to put his theories of integrated design and architecture into practice. The Egg is one of the triumphs of Jacobsen’s total design – a sculptural contrast to the building’s almost exclusively vertical and horizontal surfaces. NOTE: Footstool not included.
